  Covers 101 countries and territories in 10 regions, 20 of them new ([list and coverage by edition](/2024/countries)), with 99 Indicators across nine Domains (Academia, Domestic Politics, Economy, Foreign Policy, Law Enforcement, Media, Military, Society and Technology). Compared with 2022, 16 Indicators are new and 12 were retired; the Layer "Effect" is renamed "Alignment".

  Officially launched in Berlin, covering 82 countries, 36 more than the Beta edition. The methodology was reorganised: the Questionnaire Committee became the Index Committee, and the questionnaire became the Indicators.
