Index Committee - China Index Methodology

The Index Committee designs the Indicators with Doublethink Lab and reconvenes to revise them as PRC influence techniques evolve. The first committee developed the Indicators in January–February 2021; the committee reconvened in 2023 to revise them for the 2024 edition, and again in 2026 for the 2026 edition.

The committee that revised the Indicators for the 2026 edition has six members: Bonnie S. Glaser, Charles Burton, Glenn Tiffert, Michael Mazza, Gorden Moyo and Constanza Mazzina. The first four also served in 2023–24; their biographies are below.

Index Committee 2023–24

Revised the Indicators for the 2024 edition.

First Index Committee (2021)

Developed the first set of Indicators in January–February 2021, then called the Questionnaire Committee. Affiliations and biographies are as published in the 2021 edition.
